How about something different and amazing? How about a spalted Beech coffee table! Spalted Beech is normal beech hardwood that has had a mould or fungus growing through it whilst still alive. This Mould or fungus, whilst kills the tree in most instances, leaves a beautiful, unique and colour rich pattern on the grain of the wood. Our beautiful spalted beech wood has been nourished with mineral oil and finished with a natural bees-wax, giving the wood a luxurious , tactile and supple finish. All this beauty is mounted on a custom made metal frame, made in our Dorset workshop. The base is made from steel, given a rough polish and clear lacquered. This product is unique to Unbearable Design, so we can made tables to any size or specification.
